DIRECTOR: Bethels Agomuoh

Bethels Agomuoh is a Nigerian born actor/director with a wealth of experience in film and theater. In his repertoire are “Behold the Daughter of Death”, “ The Gods Are not to Blame”, Passport of Mallam Illia (Musical), “Come Back Little Sheba” “The Lion and the Jewel”, “A Mile to Canaan” etc. In 1998, Bethels pioneered a movement that has in no little way propelled the Nigerian movie industry in the United States, making it a viable venture for Western Investors. Bethels is the President and CEO of a New York based online African film distribution company; www.Africamovies.com. He is also the President and one of the founders of The United African Artists. A New York based not-for-profit organization that caters for African Artists in the Diaspora. 

Asst. DIRECTOR & SCRIPT CONSULTANT: Oliver Mbamara

Oliver Mbamara is an independent producer, a freelance writer, and columnist with several journals and magazines. He is an Administrative Law Judge with the State of New York. Oliver is the Secretarial Administrator and one the founders of United African Artists Incorporated. His acting and writing career flourished in the early nineties while he was a member of the “Prime Circle Theatre Group” in Nigeria. Moving to the United States, he easily landed a lead role in the New York – off Broadway Dance Drama – “Prisoner of Kalakiri” by Prof. Chudi Uwazurike in 2001. He later joined Odenigbo Theater New York and directed “Wedlock of the Gods” by Zulu Sofola in New York in 2003. He is the Artistic and Coordinating Director of the US based African Theater USA Group – www.AfricanTheaterUSA.com. Oliver is the author of several books including, “Flame of Love’ (A Musical Dance Drama), “Poems of Life”, “The New Yam Bandit (an African traditional cultural play). He is the writer of “This America,” a movie set for production this summer. 

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR: Felix Nnorom

Felix Nnorom is a Nigerian born artist who has performed in several theater and dance outings in the United States. He has acquired a wealth of experience in the Video and Movie industry and is the president and CEO of Nnorom Video/Photo Production. Felix is the Director of photography for one of the world's renowned online African news magazine - www.AfricanEvents.com. Presently, Felix is a Director with United African Artist incorporated a not for profit organization based in New York that caters for African Artist around the globe.

Casting call for dramatic feature film OVERSEAS, shooting July 20th to August 30th.

Pay is deferred. Flexible scheduling.

(Take the 4, B or D train to 161st Street/Yankee Stadium, walk 4-5 blocks East to 
Morris Avenue, make a left onto Morris and walk to #917 on E. 163rd Street. 

Seeking actors for roles: ***all ages ant types for short scenes and as extras ***
Jimmy (early 20s male, bold & overconfident, Nigerian), Emeka (mid 30s male, cynical, romantic, Nigerian), Judith (late 50s female, protective, strong, Nigerian), Steve (late 30s male, fun-loving, Nigerian), Jennifer (late 20s female confident, fun-loving, Asian), Father James (early 60s male, caring, wise, Nigerian), Caroline (late 40s female, conniving, duplicitous, Nigerian), Festus (early 50s male, boastful, proud, Nigerian), Ifeoma (early 30s female, vain, spoiled, British-Nigerian), Harold (late 50s male, demanding, accomplished, Caucasian), Alex (mid 20s male, charming, deceitful, African-American)

If possible, please prepare a 1 to 1 ½ minute monologue from a play, film, novel or poem. You may be asked to read from pages of text provided at the audition. Bring a headshot and resume if you have one.
Actors will be seen in order of arrival. Depending on the number of those who attend, everyone may not be able to audition.
